Digital Commissions

In July 2021 we announced three £1000 (any network member) bursaries and one £4000 (steering group) bursary to support the production of digital work. The work created with the support of the bursaries will be presented to the public during October – November 2021.

These opportunities were open to members of the Outlands Network to support the development of digital work with artists. Outlands is committed to supporting organisations continuing to work with artists and audiences as we navigate covid related restrictions to live performance. The Commissions were permitted to take broad forms, for example, a performance in an unusual space, a collaboration, a film, a workshop or group activity, an in-conversation, a talk, a walk, or something else entirely. Outlands remain very keen to support organisations trying new things within the digital realm, take risks, and push the format of what they can offer to audiences online.
