Following our collaboration last year, to mark the solstice we’ve once again been invited by Milton Keynes City Council to contribute to the programme for their Midsummer Festival this Sunday. This year we are proud to present Talyn Sandu – under their Cikara moniker – and Lilith, playing a long form, exploratory DJ set. This will take place from 8:30 – 10pm the performance tent.

Cikara

Cikara is a South Asian experimentalist from the Midlands. Evasive selections from ritualistic 140 to ancient folk, Punjabi garage cuts to spaced dub, Qawwali to UK grime. Assured earthy low-end, negative space and gravity.

LILITH

In LILITH’s signature sound heavyweight UK bass meets percussive electronica, whilst incorporating inspiration from her Cypriot heritage and the Latin rhythms she was immersed in whilst living in Spain. As a founder of Manchester’s Lustrous and previously part of Birmingham’s Club Bandit collective, she has played host to a wealth of other talent including Lady Shaka, LCY, Sarra Wild and Madam X.
