The New Music Biennial this year will be taking place in Bradford and London’s Southbank Centre, presenting a wide array of new compositions across two cities and multiple venues. Penumbra, a project we have supported and toured last year, will be part of the programme. Penumbra is a collaborative audio-visual performance from musicians Dali de Saint Paul and Maxwell Sterling, and visual artists Rebecca Salvadori and Charlie Hope. Using sound, light and projections, the improvisational root of the piece will see slightly different versions performed in each city, and in Bradford the performance will be accompanied by an interview with the artists.
The Bradford performance takes place on Friday 6th June; Southbank happens at month later on Saturday 5th July. Tickets are free for both events but booking is required.
