Gut Level x Float
In support and promotion of the queer scenes in Yorkshire towns and cities, this concert project facilitates community building and the strengthening of networks in the North. Two events are proposed featuring a curated selection of artists working across multiple genres. Recognising inadequate documenting of such communities, the events will be filmed and turned into a short film, enshrining a record of queer nightlife in Huddersfield and Sheffield. Extending the filmic angle of the project, the concerts with by augmented with screenings of Queercore In The Second City; a documentary exploring Birmingham’s thriving queercore scene, and a new film by prominent Leeds DJ Blu Dream.
Music To Come x Another Sky x Cobalt Studios
YUNIS is an Egyptian musician who weaves Afro-Arab rhythms, trance structures, and electronic maximalism into a living ritual. Structured like a Sufi Hadra, his performance invokes collective memory and transformation through layered sound design and live improvisation, rooted in Zar, takhmira, and ecstatic ceremony. Having previously performed at The Pompidou Centre, Le Guess Who? and Nyege Nyege festival, this commission will bring him to the UK for the first time for a mini-tour of shows in April, appearing at Cafe OTO (London), Arnolfini (Bristol) and Cobalt Studios (Newcastle), with more potential dates to be added.
Nonclassical x Alliyah Enyo x Manchester Collective
Nonclassical‘s core work develops and presents boundary-pushing new music that sits between contemporary classical and electronic practice. Their commission plans bring together interdisciplinary artist Alliyah Enyo and Manchester Collective alongside the Nonclassical team, creating the conditions needed to experiment and collaboratively shape a major new work for strings and electronics. The work will be premiered at Spitalfields Music Festival 2027, with further performances proposed in other cities. It will provide a significant development opportunity for a global majority artist working outside traditional classical pathways, combining the efforts of a number of organisations and artists that haven’t worked together before.

Tam Lines x Rowan Jones
The creative partnership of Tam Lines and Rowan Jones will see the development of an interactive workshop and radio broadcast, exploring corporate wellness culture, sonic mimicry, and body horror. Expanding their technical and collaborative disciplines, the commission will result in a new public, community-focused work which interrogates how the current ubiquity of generative AI is reshaping humanity’s identity, through music, electro-acoustic sound, spatial audio, creative writing and performance. This project will support Rowan to develop the role of electronic sound in her performance work, expanding their hybrid practice into digital space, while developing Tam’s burgeoning career as an early-career composer, bringing social engagement into their practice.
RIEKO x Profound Sound
Margate-based artist and experimental musician RIEKO is an RCA masters graduate and former resident of the Institute of Contemporary Arts, Tate Modern and Tate Britain. Working with Profound Sound, who will host the premiering event, the commission will support the transformation of her unreleased EP Zakuro into an immersive work of performance art combining movement, fashion, set design and dramaturgy. Extending the legacy of the work, the commission will also support the development of an accompanying film made for exhibiting internationally, and the EP itself will see a release via RIEKO’s own organisation Diasporas Now. The work draws on the diversity of Kent’s regional scene, whilst opening up the potential to connect to national and international touring circuits.
